Remember how we talked about presentation and performance on our web design services page? It is time to revisit that conversation.
A smart and striking looking website, is your presentation. That website being ‘seen’ on search engines, is your performance (or SEO).
At Untwisted Media, we are blessed with talent in both the presentation and performance areas, with a skilled team of both web designers and web developers to make sure that both parts of your very important web project are working optimally.
A search engine is a website you visit, to type in a question, or a series of questions. That search engine, (e.g Google) then replies with a long list of links to webpages that could potentially answer your question within about half a second of you typing in your query.
This is the seamless and very quick end result, however, there is a lot that goes into the process before those results are delivered to you on screen. Behind the scenes, Google, or the particular search engine you’re using, has web crawlers that go out the moment you type in your query and they gather information from all the content that they are able to find on the Internet. The web crawlers bring all of this content back to the search engine to build what it calls an index. That index is then fed through an algorithm that tries to match all the data and information gathered, with your original search query.
But how can Google possibly display all results on page one from every single business that is in the same niche as yours on page one? The simple answer is, it can’t.
Google will take into account multiple factors to decide which websites are displayed in the order it displays them.
